Angelica Lang

Angelica Lang
  • 2019 Beckman Scholar
  • Pursuing Ph.D. in Genetics at University of Wisconsin

Biography

Angelica Lang is originally from Manhattan, KS. Angelica first became interested in biology during high school when she started working in a biology lab at Kansas State University. After starting school at KU, she joined the lab of Dr. Erik Lundquist studying nervous system development in the model organism Caenorhabditis elegansHer project explored the role of the basement membrane in the migration of the Q neuroblasts. Angelica graduated from KU in 2021 with a BS in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology with a minor in Psychology. She is currently attending graduate school at the University of Wisconsin with plans to earn a PhD in genetics.
